Announcing Jen Zimmerman as our June MVP at Jefferson City CrossFit! We are very happy to have you as part of our rooster crew at JCCF. The most important thing to Jake, Natalie, Sam, and I is that every member enjoys their experience with us, have fun, and continue to grow mentally and physically towards fitness. We value and believe that Jen Z has done exactly that! The fact that she recently just PRd her snatch by 5lb is pretty phenomenal too! Read below to learn a little more about our member!

How long have you been CrossFitting?: 3 ½ years (10 months with JCCF)
What time do you come to WOD normally? 5 AM The best class ever!!!
Favorite Lift: All of them, the snatch is even growing on me J even PRd it last week
Favorite Met Con/Cardio: DUs
Favorite Gymnastic/Body weight Movement: not sure I have a favorite
Favorite Shoe: Nanos
Favorite Meal: Burrito Bowl from Chipotle
Favorite Beverage: Unsweet Tea and of course Water, Water, and more Water
Funniest memory at the box: To many to list. There is always something funny that happens at 5 AM.
Tell us some about your journey, greatest accomplishments. Like what was your reason for starting, why you stuck with it? What makes you keep coming back?: Before CrossFit I was the average YMCA member, workout faithfully for several months then I would get bored and quit for a while then repeat the process. When I found CrossFit in November 2011 I fell in love with it. It has been 3 ½ years and still going strong.
Since starting with JCCF in August 2014 I have grown in leaps and bounds. Lifts that I was stuck at for as long as I could remember, I am now PRing. I even got out of my comfort zone and participated in the Capital City Throwdown. The coaches and Rooster crew are great and put up with my 5 AM singing to every song that comes on.
If you could give any advice for a person new to CrossFit, what would it be?: Stick with it and you will love what you will accomplish.
Please list two future goals. 6 months and One year. My goal ever since starting CF has been getting a dang pullup. Hoping this year will be the year
